A crossover-less multiband compressor that controls dynamics band by band — while leaving the phase of your signal intact.
Conventional multiband compressors split the signal with crossover filters, and every split introduces phase shift. SOL-8 takes a different path: bandpass filters handle detection only, and gain control is applied in parallel to the original signal. The result is precise, per-band dynamics with the transient clarity of the full-range source preserved.
Place a node on the graph, set its frequency and threshold, then shape the response with ratio, knee, attack, release, and makeup. Compress downward or expand upward — in the same band, on the same graph.
What makes SOL-8 different

Crossover-less parallel processing
Bandpass filters detect each band, and the processed signal is summed in parallel — so the phase structure of your dry signal stays untouched while every band is controlled independently.

Compress and expand, one framework
Each band runs in COMP mode for downward compression or EXP mode for upward compression. Multiband expansion, as intuitive as compression, on the same node graph.

Up to ten bands, placed by ear
Click on the EQ-style graph to drop a node, then drag it across frequency (horizontal) and threshold (vertical). Every band carries its own full set of dynamics controls — no menus, no tabs.

Stereo / Mid / Side per band
Process the full stereo image, the centre, or the sides — set independently for every band. Tame a boomy mono low end or open up the sides without touching the rest.

ADAA envelope detection
A first-order antiderivative anti-aliasing rectifier suppresses the aliasing that ordinary detectors generate at zero crossings — clean, accurate envelope tracking without the cost of oversampling.

True Peak limiter built in
A −0.1 dBFS True Peak limiter with 4× oversampling and adjustable lookahead (0 – 2 ms) sits at the output, ready for streaming delivery without an extra plugin.

Live knee curve
The selected band’s transfer curve is drawn in real time, with a moving input line and intersection dot showing exactly where the compressor is working at any moment.

Global Scale
Turn one knob to scale every band’s threshold proportionally — the nodes move on the graph with it. Dial the whole amount of processing up or down in a single gesture.
