SOL-9

Stereo Designer

Wider, without losing the center.

Intro $39.9

Regular $69.9

A mastering-focused stereo imaging plugin that widens the soundstage while preserving a clear, stable phantom center.

SOL-9 is not a flashy special-effect widener. It is built for full mixes, mastering chains, mix buses, and stereo sources — where width, center focus, low-end weight, depth, and mono compatibility all need to work together.

Many widening tools make a mix feel wider, but blur the vocal, shift the center, thin out the low end, or leave the master feeling detached from the original balance. SOL-9 was designed to avoid those problems — expanding the stereo image while the main vocal, lead instrument, and low-end foundation stay focused and controlled.

Stereo imaging for mastering

SOL-9 does not simply push the Side signal louder. Instead, it builds a controlled spatial layer and combines it with center-focused protection, low-end control, and perceived clarity enhancement.

The result is a wider, deeper stereo image that still feels connected to the original mix. Reach for it when you want to add width and space to a master without making the track feel lighter, blurred, or unstable.

What makes SOL-9 different

i.

Width without a wandering center

SOL-9 expands the image while actively protecting the phantom center, so the lead vocal and main instrument stay locked in place as the mix opens up around them.

ii.

A controlled spatial layer

Rather than turning the Side signal up, SOL-9 builds a controlled spatial layer with a twelve-stage decorrelation engine — a wider, deeper field that still feels connected to the original mix.

iii.

Width · Space · Depth · Focus · Clear

The core controls shape the space: how wide it gets, how much openness surrounds it, how far back it sits, how firmly the center holds, and how defined the image stays. Mid and high spread are dialled independently.

Width  overall stereo width Space  spatial expansion and openness Depth  front-to-back dimension Focus  phantom center preservation Clear  reduces blur, keeps definition Mid / High Spread  per-band width

iv.

Mono Guard & Low Width

Mono Guard maintains low-end stability and mono compatibility, while Low Width sets the stereo width of the low frequencies separately — weight that holds together on any system.

v.

Reveal — clarity for the center

Reveal enhances the perceived clarity and presence of center-focused elements like lead vocals and main instruments, keeping them defined even as the image widens. It adds subtle forwardness, not an obvious effect.

vi.

Live stereo field display

One large display shows the whole image at once — low, mid, and high bands, the focus halo around the center, the mono-guard zone, transient activity, and left/right output, all moving with the audio.
