SOL-15
Parallel Analog Saturator
Three characters. One sound. Yours.
Analog-inspired warmth, weight, and harmonic detail—blended your way. Combine Valve, Iron, and Discrete in parallel, from subtle master-bus coloration to expressive saturation on individual instruments.
Version 1.2.10 · Windows VST3 · macOS AU / VST3
Find your balance
Three shades of saturation.
Explore each model on its own, or combine their individual strengths to find the character that suits your music.
Valve
Warmth & roundness
A rounded, harmonically rich character for instruments and mixes. A natural starting point when you want warmth and a softer edge.
Iron
Weight & density
Body and substance, with a weighty character that works particularly well when you want drums and buses to feel more substantial.
Discrete
Definition & presence
A comparatively direct, clear character, with stronger saturation available as you increase Drive.
Three complementary, analog-inspired models—not recreations of specific pieces of hardware.
The triangular blend pad
Blend the character.
Then set the intensity.
Move toward a corner to emphasize one model, or stay between them to create your own balance. Combine Valve’s roundness with Iron’s weight, then add Discrete for a more direct edge.
The three dedicated model controls let you refine the same blend numerically. MIX then blends the combined saturation signal with the dry signal, giving you a separate way to control the overall intensity.
Three models. One blend.
From subtle to expressive
Shape the texture.
Keep the balance.
Use gentle settings to enhance an already balanced mix, or push further when you want the saturation itself to become part of the sound.
Refine the harmonic character with BIAS, adjust the tonal balance with TONE, and open the top end with AIR.
Use Output to match the bypassed level and focus your comparison on the change in texture.
- DRIVE
- Move from gentle coloration into pronounced saturation and distortion.
- BIAS
- Adjust the asymmetry of the saturation to explore different harmonic textures.
- TONE
- Refine the overall tonal balance.
- AIR
- Add high-frequency lift, from a subtle opening of the top end to a brighter presentation.
- MIX
- Blend dry and processed signals for parallel saturation.
- INPUT / OUTPUT
- Set the level entering the processor and match the output for meaningful bypass comparisons.
8× oversampling
Two filtering options.
Two perspectives.
SOL-15 uses 8× oversampling to reduce aliasing from nonlinear processing. Choose the filtering approach that works best with your material.
Standard filtering
IIR
The original oversampling filter option. Start here to explore SOL-15’s standard sound, then compare FIR in the context of your mix.
Linear-phase filtering
FIR
Enable linear-phase oversampling filtering for another perspective on the same saturation settings. Audition it on individual instruments, mix buses, or masters.
Linear phase applies to the oversampling filters, not to the nonlinear saturation process itself.

your settings.
Spectrum Monitor

Harmonic Profile
View the harmonic structure generated by a reference tone at your current saturation settings. Different colors distinguish odd and even harmonics.
Factory & user presets
Save useful settings and recall them later, including the FIR setting. Four factory presets provide starting points.
